SEATTLE - (Business Wire) Seattle-based BizXchange, a regional and international leader in the growing business-to-business barter industry, has relocated its North American headquarters to Bellevue, Wash. Company growth over the past several years has resulted in the need to expand into a larger space.
“We need a space that will better accommodate our growing operations,” BizXchange President and CEO Bob Bagga said. “Along with an increase in revenue, BizXchange experienced a 77 percent increase in overall trade transactions between its members and a 30 percent growth in new members in 2009.”
The company’s strong growth has been accelerated since the onset of the economic downturn, as more companies are using barter as a business tool to save cash, gain new customers and become more efficient with spare capacity and available inventory.
“The economic conditions of the last 18 months have caused executives and managers, in all industry sectors, to assess budgets in search of savings, find new ways to increase sales and become more efficient with their resources,” Bagga said. “Our ability to help in all these areas has given business owners an increased interest in BizXchange.”
BizXchange has a proven barter platform that allows businesses to exchange products and services amongst each other without the use of cash. The BizX account executive team and the online marketplace provides an additional sales channel, builds new relationships and facilitates barter transactions between companies that might not have otherwise done business together. This results in new sales for a business and opportunities to save cash on expenses.
In addition to its operations in the Northwest, BizX conducts business nationally and internationally with offices in the Bay Area and Dubai. “We’re proud of the business we did in 2009 and 2010 is already looking strong,” noted Bagga. “Our move is a necessity to continue BizXchange’s growth pattern.”
