Here’s a great idea for urban gardeners who find themselves with too much of a good thing when harvest time comes around. The Coop La Maison Verte will be holding a “Barter Market” every Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. in front of their Sherbrooke St. location (5785 Sherbrooke W., Metro Vendome).

If you’ve got a backyard garden and find you’re producing too much of one crop for your own use, you can swap with other gardeners. So instead of making 17 zucchini breads, you can unload your zucchini for somebody elses surplus tomatoes, or whatever.
